„Best Buy” Special Award
Owing to an initiative by Tibor Gál and Zoltán Heimann, the Pannon Bormíves Céh (Pannon Wine Producers Guild) launched the Pannon Bormustra (Pannon Wine Challenge) in 1999, with the primary goal of providing the opportunity for outstanding Hungarian wines to compete on an international level. The Pannon Wine Challenge’s continual aim is to contribute to the development of Hungarian winemaking and wine consumption through communicating the results of the challenge on both a national and international level. Further, it seeks to acknowledge and enhance the reputation of the country’s most renowned wines, wine regions, grape varieties and winemaking styles.
